Laurie Kistler

Laurie has extensive experience working with Fortune 100 companies—both as an executive, and as a consultant.  Working as an executive, she has led large, cross-functional teams to achieve record-setting results.  As a consultant, she has worked with smaller, independent companies who want to revamp their organizations—as well as with corporate executives who are launching major, enterprise-wide initiatives.  Laurie has also negotiated with a wide variety of government entities across North America. .

As Vice President of Business Solutions at Sprint, Laurie managed an organization of 3,000+ employees nationwide including multi-site call centers and the central technology staff supporting those call centers.  In that role she was responsible for increasing corporate account level customer satisfaction metrics to a record high of 9.2 (out of 10).  She acted as a principal member of Sprint’s Executive Steering Committee for emerging data product launches and served as the Executive Client Sponsor for implementation of a major billing system conversion.

As Vice President at Rogers Communications, Inc. the largest communications provider in Canada, Laurie co-authored a $1 billion data strategy business case for Rogers and AT&T Wireless during their participation in a government auction.  She was also responsible for a $250 million billing center and software conversion project—spearheading a new prepaid billing platform and bundled product offerings rollout.

She also acted as a Vice President of Wireless Operations at SW Bell Mobile Systems during extreme growth in the cellular industry, concurrently managing all customer service, telemarketing, collections, repair and installation centers in the Boston region.  Prior to her VP role her increasingly senior roles included leading multiple operations and staff teams in Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri.

Today, Laurie manages Laurie Kistler Consulting, where she enjoys working directly with executives to achieve their goals—determining where course corrections are needed in strategy, organization structures or personnel, process, or technology and providing the behind-the-scenes expertise and dedication needed to implement those changes.

Laurie has a Master’s in Business Administration and Strategic Planning, as well as a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, from the University of Missouri—Kansas City.  Prior to transferring to UMKC, Laurie attended Kansas State and considers herself a fan of both Wildcats and the ‘Roos!  She has continued to broaden her learning through industry and professional training including successful completion of the Leadership Institute Executive Education Program at Boston University.

Laurie enjoys spending time hiking and sailing in the Northwest, enjoying her grandchildren in the U.S. and Serbia, and painting artwork that reflects her travels.
